Works only with Aqara Hubs

An Aqara Hub is required and sold separately. (It does not support hubs from other brands.) Hub M2, M1S, E1, M1S Gen2, and Camera Hub G2H Pro/G2H need a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Camera Hub G3 supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Hub M2 also supports a wired connection via Ethernet (RJ45). Connect the sensor to the Aqara Hub first to use all features.

Aqara Door and Window Sensor: Proximity

For a strong connection, keep the Aqara door sensor, Aqara window sensor, or other aqara contact sensor devices within 400 inches of the Aqara Zigbee Hub. The hub should also be within range of your Wi-Fi router. Make sure the hub and router are on the same local network (LAN). Third-party adapters like Zigbee2MQTT or similar USB dongles are not officially supported.

Unauthorized Entry Detection & Home Automation

The Zigbee contact sensor alerts your phone and triggers the Aqara Hub’s local alarm if a door or window opens unexpectedly. It can also control other Aqara devices based on door/window status. Use it to monitor doors, windows, kids’ rooms, or any area you want notifications. Works with wireless door sensors, wireless window sensors, and Alexa-compatible door sensors.

0.86 Inch Wide Gap Allowed

This Alexa compatible door sensor works with most doors, windows, drawers, cabinets, and similar fixtures. Ensure the surface is flat and adhesive-friendly. The allowed gap is up to 0.86 inch.

Hands-Free Voice Control

Compatible with Apple HomeKit and Alexa, this sensor lets you check door/window status without touching your phone. Pairing with an Aqara Hub is required for notifications, automations, or voice control. Without the hub, the sensor cannot function.
